Colorado State quarterback K'saan Farrar has completed 89 of 144 passes for 931 yards, five touchdowns and two interceptions. The Rams' top running back has 431 yards on just 47 carries, more than nine yards a carry. Receiver RJ Vick Jr. has 24 catches for 367 yards and four touchdowns. Cornerback CJ Blocker has three interceptions, and linebacker Oumar Diomande leads with 54 tackles.
San Diego State quarterback Jayden Denegal has nearly 900 passing yards, seven touchdowns and five interceptions. Running back Javion Kinnard has 432 yards. Linebacker Sione Hala leads with 67 tackles, and linebacker Djibril Rahman has four sacks.

What happened last week
San Diego State beat Fresno State 26-23 on Oct. 17. Lucky Sutton ran 18 times for 110 yards. Denegal went 7 of 10 for 112 yards and a touchdown, and Jaylon Hawkins caught six passes for 84 yards and a score.
Colorado State lost 66-27 at Texas State on Oct. 15. Farrar went 26 of 41 for 282 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions. Jackson Harper caught five passes for 91 yards.

Injuries and availability
The Pac-12 doesn't publish an official availability report, and no injury news had surfaced for either team as of Oct. 18.
What the coaches are up to
Jim Mora is in his first season at Colorado State. His Rams score 35.7 points a game, 29th in FBS, and have a plus-8 turnover margin, sixth. His defense, though, ranks 138th in yards, rushing yards and points allowed.
Sean Lewis has led San Diego State since November 2023. His offense has been stuck, averaging 292.9 yards, but his pass rush has 16 sacks.
Player storylines
San Diego State's run game against a Colorado State defense allowing 274.3 rushing yards a game is the matchup to watch. Farrar and Vick get to test an Aztec pass defense ranked 131st. Time of possession is a quirk: San Diego State averages 24:47, 138th in FBS. The Aztecs are 0-3 on the road this season.
What's happening on campus
This is Colorado State's inaugural Pac-12 season. The game was first set for 7:30 p.m., then moved to 4:30 p.m. Mountain in June, so all of CSU's scheduled home kickoffs are 5:30 p.m. or earlier. Homecoming already happened, on Oct. 3 against Oregon State.
Anything else fun and true
The last four meetings make a fun ledger: San Diego State won 45-24 in 2025, Colorado State won 22-19 in 2023, and the Aztecs won 29-17 in 2020 and 24-10 before that. Next up, Colorado State visits Utah State on Oct. 31, and San Diego State hosts Washington State.
