Buffalo running back Messiah Burch has 661 yards on 118 carries. Wide receiver Chance Morrow has six touchdown catches and more than 440 receiving yards. Quarterback Jason Wright has 860 yards and six touchdowns, completing 48.2% of his passes. Linebacker Saveon Brown has 59 tackles, a sack and an interception.
Bowling Green quarterback Jay Kastantin has 1,201 yards and seven touchdowns, completing 66.5%. Running back Austyn Dendy has four touchdowns. Linebacker Dorian Pringle has 67 tackles, seventh in FBS. The Falcons have 18 sacks.
Kendra: Burch is a snowplow, and the forecast called for heavy accumulation.
What happened last week
Buffalo beat UMass 25-18 in the Flagship Cup game. Burch ran 28 times for 172 yards, and Wright threw two touchdowns, both to Clint Walker. It was the Bulls' second straight win.
Bowling Green lost 32-31 to Ball State. Kastantin went 17 of 24 for 215 yards and two touchdowns, and Brennan Ridley caught two passes for 84 yards and a score. Pringle made 10 tackles.

What the coaches are up to
Pete Lembo was named Buffalo's head coach on Jan. 21, 2024. His Bulls held Toledo to eight points in a 23-8 road win. Turnovers are his project: Buffalo is minus-4, 113th in FBS.
Eddie George was named Bowling Green's 21st head coach on March 9, 2025. At Tennessee State he went 9-3 in the 2024 regular season, shared the conference title, reached the FCS playoffs and was the Big South-OVC Coach of the Year. His team is 2-5 overall but 2-1 in the MAC.
Player storylines
Burch against a Bowling Green run defense allowing 209.6 yards per game, 132nd in FBS, is the headline. On the other side, Kastantin gets a Buffalo pass defense ranked 97th. The pass rush matters too: Bowling Green has 18 sacks, and Buffalo has allowed 17.
Darcy: Our run defense has to be better than 132nd. My save chart says no.
Kendra: Hold on to the ball like it's the last wing on the plate.
What's happening on campus
It's Senior Day at Broadview Stadium, honoring UB's graduating athletes. The day also coincides with a major campus admissions event, so future Bulls will see game day firsthand. The stadium carries its new name after a naming-rights partnership with Broadview Federal Credit Union, announced in March 2026.
