The quarterback carousel spins again in Syracuse. Louisville (3-3, 2-2 ACC) visits the JMA Wireless Dome to face Syracuse (2-3, 0-3) at 7:30 on ACC Network.
Syracuse insider Nico Calabrese rates everything in feet of snow, and the Orange quarterback room is a blizzard. Amari Odom is out with a shoulder injury, Steve Angeli is questionable with an Achilles injury, and Malachi Nelson, who has been limited by a rib injury, will start. Nelson threw for 217 yards and a touchdown in his first start at Virginia before leaving. Receiver Umari Hatcher, with six touchdown catches, is the steady weapon. Louisville insider Bianca Thornberry rates games on "hat-worthiness." She's backing Lincoln Kienholz, who has thrown one interception, and Isaac Brown's 557 rushing yards after last week's 44-20 win over Florida State.
Louisville has a lot of injuries up front, with four offensive linemen out, plus two defensive backs and its punter. Syracuse's center, Joe Cruz, and kicker, Tripp Woody, are questionable. The game is indoors, so it should be fast.
Our call: Louisville 35, Syracuse 22.
