Florida State versus Miami, one of the country's great rivalries, under the lights at Hard Rock Stadium. The No. 3 Hurricanes (5-0, 3-0 ACC) host the Seminoles (3-3, 1-2) at 7 p.m. on ESPN, with Miami's playoff path running straight through this game.
Miami insider Javi "The Breeze" Castillo speaks in rhyming bilingual hype. She's thrilled with Darian Mensah, who has completed 84 percent of his passes for 15 touchdowns without an interception, and Malachi Toney's six touchdown catches. The Canes also had two weeks to prepare. Florida State insider Gianna Ravello treats every take like a bill on the floor and won't allow any vote on an upset to be skipped. Ashton Daniels is available, and Ousmane Kromah has 565 rushing yards.
Florida State's biggest problem is linebacker. Blake Nichelson, Izayia Williams, Daylen Green and Noah LaVallee are all out, along with three defensive backs. Miami is missing receiver Joshua Moore, running back CharMar Brown and two defensive backs. FSU lost 44-20 at Louisville last week. Warm weather should allow plenty of offense.
Our call: Miami 41, Florida State 19.
